I’m Mel, a T-shaped content generalist with deep roots in experience design, product content strategy, and copywriting.

I work in the in-between spaces—where content, product, and technology meet, and where connecting the dots can make a complicated experience feel simple. That means looking beyond the words on the screen to understand the system underneath them: the information architecture, workflows, terminology, mental models, and decisions that shape the experience. Lately, that work has increasingly included AI: thinking about how structured knowledge, context, language, and human judgment shape what AI systems produce.

When away from my desk, I’m usually elbows-deep in some new cooking or baking project, planning my next trip, or spending time outdoors with my husband, sons, and dog, attempting to be the kind of family that always knows where the trailhead is.
